Good Halal food is always a find for me, and this place hit the spot. Very clean food and establishment. The staff is friendly and helpful. It's no wonder why this place was full of people when I walked in.

I think this is place is Afghan cuisine... but I may be wrong.  Quite a few exotic choices on the new menu that I will be back to try.  For the first order I went with a safe bet of a gyro.  A perfect blend of spiced meat, veggies, sauce, and served on a fresh middle eastern flatbread.  No other word other than tasty come to mind.
The gyro came with a huge serving of fries and a drink.  I wasn't a fan of the fries.

This place was a real find for me. I came here off a lead from yelp, and even though it's recently under new ownership the food was just a delicious as the reviews said. Unfortunately the free quesadilla that is offered with yelp check in doesn't apply with the new owner, but in his accent I think he told me I could have something else instead.

I can't even handle how good this place was!!! Honestly I walked in having confused it with the chain Halal Guys. But this place far surpassed the taste of Halal Guys.

The menu seems a little small but the paper version they have at the register is the best way to decide what you want. We opted for a lamb gyro and I think the other dish was masala (spicy). The masala had SO much flavor. It was very spicy and I think I would have been a little disappointed if I hadn't also ordered the gyro to share. It was borderline spicy enough that it was hard to enjoy. But it tasted like it had been marinating for days it was that flavorful! The gyro was my favorite and I wish I could eat it every day. Again, the meat makes it and this meat was rich but not heavy.

The owner even came by and checked on us and told us about a few items we should try next time (the pizza being one of them). While no one welcomed us in like they would at a Starbucks type place, the welcoming we felt as we tried to decide what to order and as we waited for our food made it clear this was a mom and pop place where the family is still active and passionate about the food they make.

This is a diamond in the rough and a MUST TRY!!!

I think this place has changed hands fairly recently.  The place has been upgraded inside.  It's a small place, but the Lamb Kabob lunch special for $9.95 comes with a drink some rice, and a salad.  It is delicious.
I no longer live in the area but every time I come to the valley I make sure to stop in for the Lamb Kabob.

    BEST BAKLAVA I've ever had.

The place is small but it's good! Helps that the people here are so nice.

I got the $9.99 lunch special that came with beef, salad, rice, a little hummus (I think that's what that was) and a drink. The tender meat and even the rice was very flavorful. In true mom-n-pop style, a woman came out of the kitchen with a sample of a Turkish quinoa type of morsel she had been making fresh. She asked me to try it. It was good.

I followed up with a Turkish coffee and a piece of Baklava. Unbelievable Baklava. Strong coffee. It took maybe 7 minutes to prepare the coffee so order in advance if you're a fast-paced Angelino like me.

People were ordering and speaking to the owner in their native (?) language so that might be a sign of authenticity. They looked quite satisfied like me.

    Definitely worth a try!
